Test your IPv6 Support... CISCO CCO has no IPv6 address !

http://ipv6-test.com/validate.php
No support from CISCO, Juniper, Huwai, Alcatel-Lucent..
No support from www.orange.fr
no support from www.numericable.fr
www.free.fr does support IPv6 !

Do the test and you are going to see for yourself that www.cisco.com does not have an ipv6 address.

This means that CCO cannot be reached from an IPv6 client.

CCO was running on IPv6 during the World IPv6 days so it just let us know that if CCO does not have an IPv6 address and it is not reachable from the IPv6 Internet, this is not a problem with the application but a deliberate choice not make it accessible from the IPv6 Internet.

To get support from CISCO, open a TAC Case, download a software update, you must have access to CCO. Actually there is no much things you can do without this access.

When I start working with CISCO in the very early 1990's and I was not yet a CISCO employee, the access to CISCO was using a vt100 access using a modem or X25 (Transpac). When the Internet opened its door for everyone and the Web was introduced, CCO replaced the old system and was accessible from the Internet. But it was very slow and CISCO was also distributing a CD with all the information on it.

So this access was always made available using all the media and all the networking facilities available: CD, modem, X25, TCP/IP....

I am more than surprised to consider that CCO is NOT available from IPv6.... unless someone is providing IPv6 to IPv4 translation with NAT64, AFT or IVI something !!!

This is even more surprising that the application supports IPv6!

So what does it mean ?

Someone told me that CISCO has no business interest to support CCO on IPv6 !!!

What does it mean again ?

CISCO has no business interest to support CCO on IPv6 so...
CISCO has some interest to have CCO reachable from IPv4 ONLY.

What does it mean ???
